Wissam brings over 20 years of working in the international energy industry. He spent a large part of his career with BP in various operations, engineering, asset management and country and regional business leadership roles across the UK North Sea, US Deepwater Gulf of Mexico, the Caspian, the Middle East, North and West Africa. Wissam is currently the Managing Director of Tullow Ghana and is also a member of the executive leadership of London FTSE listed Tullow Oil plc (LSE: TLW).

Wissam is a Non-Executive Director of Carbonvert Inc., a US based and focused carbon capture and storage (CCS) project development, finance and trading company that simplifies decarbonization for industrial clients and a Non-Executive Director of Sequent, a global consumer wearables and health technology company based in Switzerland.

Wissam holds a Bachelor’s of Engineering (B.Eng) in Chemical Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he remains an active alumni as Chairman of the Alumni Board of Great Britain. Wissam is a fluent French and Arabic speaker.
